Visible Women meets Technology

Hey guys sorry for the confusion, this is now my official blog page.
The Visible Women campaign is now giving an opportunity to 20 female students and recent graduates to find out about having a career in Technology. This meeting will be about females going to careers such as IT , Telecmmunications, Investment banking divisions, and even working for London 2012. Unfortunately it's not in Birmingham, it's in Central London. However this event will be so useful if you want to get into this field of employment. I will be attending, so I will be commuting from Birmingham to London.

Here are the further details below:

Monday 14th December
Starts 6pm-8.30pm
Central London

  • BRING CV AND BRIEF ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS:
  1. What aspects of technology are you interested in?
  2. Why is it important for women to get into technology?
  3. What do you want to gain 'VW Meets...Technology'?

VISIBLE WOMEN CAMPAIGN!

Hey guys! (or should I say ladies)
Finally got on my blog page. Hope your cool, well i'm really happy at the moment as I recently found out about a campaign called 'Visible Women'. I have spoken to some people involved and it sounds fantastic!
Visible Women aims to help students to overcome challenges such as under-representation of women in certain industries. Women as well as men want to be succesful in everything they do and do not want to be limited by employers, so Visible Women aims to :

Showcase companies/organisations that encourage more women at every level ofemployment.
Recognise senior female role models
Create networking opportunities for students and recent graduates to successfullyenter into the labour market
When I read the manifesto I was overjoyed to know that such a thing is actually taking place. I just think it's great!
If you want to find out more you can either email me or come to the Visible Women meeting at the MUIRHEAD TOWER. I'll inform you as soon as i know what room lol.
